Tasks

-Assist in the preparation of scope, schedule, and budget for new projects and providing technical responses to RFPs with related information and requirements. -Collaborate with infrastructure planning, engineering, urban design/landscaping, project design management and other disciplines. -Assist with quality reviews of deliverables to client requirements to ensure high-quality products are being produced on time and on budget. -Review documents that meet requirements for environmental approvals or re-evaluations, permit applications and permit amendments, environmental management plans and other required environmental submittals. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Provide guidance and support to less experienced staff on technical and professional issues. -Inform scheduling and estimating teams regarding environmental permitting requirements. -Support in the review and develop the environmental aspects (e.g., scheduling, estimates, risk assessment, etc.) for proposals and project delivery. -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Collaborate and assist in developing implementation of strategies and risk assessments for delivering environmental components of projects. -Assist in the delivery of environmental SOP’s for proposals and projects.

What You Bring

-Undergraduate degree in an environmental science, environmental engineering or related field. -Strong organization, time management and attention to detail. -Over 10 years of experience in increasingly complex environmental regulatory planning and design roles, specifically within the infrastructure and transportation sector, including projects related to highways, bridges, ports, and other large infrastructure projects -Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills. -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Background in fisheries and aquatics is an asset. -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment -Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right, the first time. -Regular, reliable attendance -ESRI ArcGIS preferred but not required. -Mastery of Microsoft products to perform assigned tasks. -Must be registered, or immediately eligible for registration, as a RPBio with the College of Applied Biology in British Columbia -Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity. -Strong working knowledge of Provincial and Federal environmental legislation. -Ability to travel for training, to jobsites, conference attendance and other work locations. -Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.
