Overview

Process waste, operate equipment, ensure safety & compliance at facilities

Tasks

-General shop clean-up and maintenance. -Prepare shipments of hazardous and non-hazardous waste for transport. -Take samples from waste vehicles and containers for lab analysis. -Ensure incoming waste conforms with acceptance protocol. -Receive all client waste – both bulk liquids/solids and containerized. -Complete job hazard risk assessments -Ensure waste is processed in a timely and safe manner. -Complete paperwork properly & ensure it is submitted. -Operate plant machinery including pumps and pressure washers; and assist with general maintenance. -Attend Household Hazardous Waste collection events on weekends. -Gain a full understanding and working knowledge of the company’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure they are followed. -Load and unload waste vehicles including vacuum trucks, tankers, straight trucks, and van trailers. -Ensure superior customer service is provided.

What You Bring

-Valid Driver License -Must be clean shaven. (for respirator usage) -Be trained for and enter Confined Spaces, such as bulk tanks, tankers, and vacuum trucks for cleaning. -Physically fit (repetitive lifting of hoses and shoveling of soil) -8 Weeks of Training on the overnight shift. -Must be good with working at heights (climbing up to catwalks above tanks to dip them, climbing on top of tankers and trucks to sample them)
