Swamper Crane Rigger

Description

• Assist drivers and operators of gin trucks, cranes, flatbeds, haul trucks, and other hoisting equipment.
• Travel to outlying locations for drilling rig moves, customer work orders, and company assignments.
• Load and unload freight manually or with a forklift.
• Climb and work on cranes and lifting mechanisms on irregular or slippery surfaces, including manbuckets.
• Hook, unhook and position pulleys, ropes, cables, chains, slings, and other grappling equipment.
• Place and later clean blocking, outriggers, or screw jacks to secure equipment during lifts.
• Signal drivers or operators vocally or with hand signals to guide load connections and movements.
• Perform routine service on company pickups and report major issues to a supervisor.
• Obtain and document miscellaneous parts, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Follow safety policies and report compliance issues to a supervisor.

Requirements

Required Education, Experience and Abilities: Previous related work experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, will be considered.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Applicants must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record, pass a DOT physical, demonstrate English fluency, and meet pre‑employment background, credit, and drug/alcohol testing requirements.
