Converts drawings from rough sketch format to electronic format in preparation for landfills, ponds, roadways, site development, and other similar projects, based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, historical drawings, permit plan sets, survey information, and other data
Works with industry experts to develop permit level and construction level plan sets
Assists engineers with project material quantities for cost estimating
Assists in preparing and updating non-electronic drawings
Assists with assembling and modifying standard detail sheets
Prepares final detailed drawings of simple project elements from sketches or marked-up prints
Effectively present information in oral and written format.

Foundational knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, drawings, and models; materials, methods, and the equipment involved in the construction of landfills, ponds, general site grading, highways and roads.
Skill in using computer aided design CAD software such as Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D and Geographic Information System GIS Systems.
Associate’s degree in architectural & engineering Computer-Aided Design (AAS or AS), Computer-Aided Drafting & Design (CADD) or other equivalent program preferred.
Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts including algebraic and geometric principles.
Attention to detail, foundational drafting and grading skills, and the ability to follow established design standards and procedures while collaborating with other team members, technologists, design professionals, and engineers.
High school diploma and 2-5 years of full-time relevant work experience with Civil 3D required.
