This six‑month fixed‑term role supports the Head of Portfolio and focuses on delivering a portfolio of value‑driven growth and innovation products. The analyst provides essential support and assurance to Project Managers and Entrepreneurs in Residence at both programme and project levels.
Key responsibilities include maintaining portfolio governance cadence, producing reporting and insight for approvals, and building strong relationships with PMs and EiRs. The analyst also owns data in portfolio tools, drives tool adoption, and manages critical administrative tasks such as meeting bookings, minute‑taking, action tracking, facilities management and intranet maintenance. Additionally, they produce accurate analytics for board‑level governance and apply budgeting, forecasting and invoicing principles to support portfolio assessment and reporting.
The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to handle all aspects of portfolio administration, including meeting and event coordination. They can prioritise workloads to meet deadlines, understand project planning techniques, and manage risks, issues and dependencies. Strong stakeholder‑management, influencing abilities and financial acumen—particularly budgeting, forecasting and invoicing—are essential.
Prior experience in the energy sector, knowledge of portfolio‑management methodologies and experience in fast‑moving agile environments are valuable. The candidate should also be proficient in analysing data from multiple systems to produce meaningful management information for diverse audiences.
