Candidates should be pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety or a related field and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Previous exposure to construction is advantageous but not required, and you should be comfortable using software such as Microsoft Suite and AutoCAD. Availability for full‑time work (40 hours per week) for the 12‑week period and willingness to travel to job sites for fieldwork are also required.
As a Safety Intern, you will be an integral part of Hooper’s dynamic Safety team, contributing to diverse aspects of safety in the construction industry. This 12‑week full‑time summer internship lets you apply classroom knowledge to real‑world scenarios, expand your professional network, and learn and implement safety standards and practices to help maintain a safe work environment.
