The Superintendent is responsible for all site activities related to construction projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role oversees all trade and field personnel required for successful project execution, with duties varying by client, project size, and level of authority.
Key responsibilities include enforcing safety policies, supervising sub‑contractors and field staff, coordinating construction activities, and mentoring Level I and II Superintendents. The Superintendent negotiates change orders, ensures timely material deliveries and inspections, maintains schedules, organizes site documentation, and drives productivity improvements while communicating effectively with crews, owners, and engineers.
The position requires extensive travel across the United States, potentially up to 100% of the time, with assignments lasting an average of 6‑8 months per project in states such as NC, VA, GA, TX, FL, IA, and WY. Eligible candidates receive a daily per diem, vehicle allowance, and a home‑away rotation of one weekend per month.
Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or 15+ years of relevant experience), have at least 10 years as a Construction Superintendent, and possess a minimum of 5 years of Data Center project experience. Required skills include OSHA certification, strong scheduling and document‑control abilities, superior communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software.
Compensation ranges from $155K to $175K annually, with merit‑based increases, 401(k) matching, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
