DevSecOps Platform Engineer

Description

The role involves designing, implementing, and managing secure cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure, while automating resource provisioning with IaC tools. It also includes building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, overseeing microservice deployments in Kubernetes, and enhancing monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities.

• Design, implement, and manage secure cloud infrastructure solutions (AWS, Azure).
• Automate cloud resource rollout using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with security best practices (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
• Assist with release management and deployment of microservices in Kubernetes environments (AWS EKS, Azure AKS).
• Maintain and enhance Helm charts for Docker‑based microservices deployment.
• Enhance logging, monitoring, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK Stack.
• Ensure compliance with industry security standards and frameworks (NIST 800‑171).
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, security monitoring, and incident response automation.
• Collaborate with developers to enforce secure coding practices and application security testing.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to optimize cloud costs, security, and performance.
• Develop documentation and training materials to promote a DevSecOps culture.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field and have at least five years of experience in DevOps, security, or infrastructure engineering. Required skills include cloud security best practices, CI/CD tooling, Linux administration, containerization, scripting (Python/Bash), git workflows, and experience with security tools such as SAST, DAST, SIEM, and IDS/IPS.

Desired qualifications include a Top Secret clearance, knowledge of programming languages (Java, Go, JavaScript), SQL and database management, IAM/RBAC/Zero Trust models, and relevant security certifications (CISSP, CISM, OSCP, AWS/Azure Security). Experience with serverless architectures, air‑gapped environments, software supply‑chain security, and satellite communications is also valued.

The position is a regular full‑time role based in the United States, requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, and may involve access to export‑controlled technology.
