The Business Development / Proposal Specialist will drive growth for the Siting & Environmental Services portfolio, primarily targeting opportunities in Saudi Arabia. The role involves identifying new business prospects, supporting the full bid lifecycle, managing client relationships, and aligning initiatives with Assystem’s strategic objectives.
Key duties include supporting business development plans, qualifying opportunities with clients, authorities, and developers, and coordinating proposals with technical teams to ensure client needs are met. The specialist will also engage with clients and stakeholders, represent Assystem at industry events, monitor market trends and regulatory developments, and maintain an up‑to‑date opportunity pipeline.
Successful candidates will possess a solid understanding of engineering consultancy and environmental services, strong knowledge of the Saudi market, and proven experience in bid preparation, tender submissions, and client presentations. Excellent relationship‑building, communication, commercial awareness, and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to collaborate with technical and project teams.
Qualifications require a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geosciences, Environmental Engineering or a related field, with a Master’s degree considered advantageous. Candidates should have 8–12 years of experience in business development, commercial, tendering, or proposals within engineering or consultancy sectors, specifically in the KSA market, and exposure to Saudi Vision 2030 projects is a strong plus. Additional competencies include communication, presentation, quality consciousness, problem‑solving, results orientation, and effective time management.
