The Role

Overview

Lead civil & station works for high‑speed rail, managing planning, design, delivery.

Tasks

-Develop and maintain the Master Integrated Schedule, integrating all work packages and dependencies. -Oversee design development, construction planning, and delivery of civil structures and station facilities. -Conduct delay analyses and assess EOT/disruption claims using industry-standard techniques. -Prepare regular progress reports, dashboards, and key performance metrics. -Contribute to change management, cost control, and claims evaluation related to civil and stations scope. -Review and validate contractors’ baseline schedules and technical documentation. -Monitor project progress, manage delays, and implement mitigation strategies. -Provide expert guidance on construction phasing, interface management, and value engineering opportunities. -Identify and manage risks, maintaining the Project Risk Register and facilitating risk workshops. -Ensure compliance with contractual, technical, and safety requirements across all packages. -Communicate effectively with stakeholders and deliver presentations to management. -Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams. -Lead and manage the civil and stations workstream within the overall programme framework. -Manage and develop a team of planning engineers/leads. -Establish, implement, and maintain project planning processes, procedures, systems, and tools.

What You Bring

-Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills. -Strong focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery -Analytical and problem-solving ability -Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline from bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred). -Familiarity with project controls, risk management, and stakeholder engagement processes. -Prior experience in the Middle East region is an advantage -Strong understanding of international standards, design management, and construction methodologies. -Experience working in multi-disciplinary and multi-contract environments. -Minimum 15 years of experience in rail and infrastructure projects -Programme and project management expertise -Proven track record in managing civil and station design and construction within large-scale rail projects.
