M5 Utilities LLC is a large-scale underground utility construction contractor based in Boerne Texas.
The Project and Safety Coordinator reports to the Chief Operating Officer within the Operations department. This role is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing employee safety across the company.
The coordinator directs onsite crew members, managing daily work plans, weekly look‑ahead schedules, and jobsite safety protocols. Key duties include facilitating compliance with occupational health and safety (OSH) guidelines, collaborating with project staff to develop strategic action plans and cost estimates, advising employees on safety topics, conducting risk assessments, and supervising project progress with periodic cost and progress reports.
Ensuring adherence to codes, guidelines, best practices, and company policies is a core responsibility, and the coordinator may perform other related duties as assigned.
Required skills include excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication abilities, strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to review civil construction plans and elevations.
Candidates must hold an OSHA 30 Construction certification obtained within the past 24 months, CPR/First Aid, Trenching & Excavation, and Confined Space certifications. Physical demands involve prolonged desk work and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
