Leasing Representative - Albany, NY

Description

The Leasing Representative serves as the first point of contact for prospective residents of multifamily properties, showcasing available units and guiding applicants through the leasing process. The role emphasizes delivering a positive experience, building relationships with prospects and current residents, and supporting the on‑site team to maintain an inviting leasing office environment.

• Conduct property tours, showcase units, and communicate community value to prospects.
• Guide applicants through the leasing application, collect required documents, and perform background and credit checks.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with prospective and current residents and the property‑management team.
• Coordinate maintenance requests with the on‑site team and communicate repairs, lease renewals, and resident inquiries.
• Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and traffic analyses as assigned.
• Receive and accurately record deposits and rent payments.
• Monitor local market trends and competitor offerings to inform leasing and marketing strategies.
• Prepare and execute lease agreements in compliance with company policies and maintain organized documentation.
• Remain on‑site, move throughout the building, and interact with tenants, staff, vendors, and visitors.
• Ascend and descend stairs and work in varying environmental conditions as needed.

Requirements

• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
• Minimum of one year leasing or sales experience, preferably in multifamily residential properties.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and property‑management software such as iLuvLeasing, On‑Site, and Yardi.
• Knowledge of fair housing regulations and leasing practices.
• Possess a valid NYS real‑estate license or obtain one within the first 120 days of employment and register it with Rose Associates.
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).

Benefits

Compensation includes an hourly wage ranging from $19.00 to $22.50, significant incentive pay, and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates must hold or obtain a NYS real‑estate license within 120 days, be authorized to work in the U.S., and be available to work weekends while remaining on‑site throughout the building.
