As a Senior Engineering Manager for the Moving Engineering team, you lead a high‑performing group of engineers focused on building scalable data infrastructure, enabling advanced analytics, and driving AI‑powered insights across the organization. You are responsible for technical leadership, team development, and strategic execution of data initiatives that empower product, operations, and executive teams to make informed decisions.
- Provide hands‑on technical leadership and people management for a distributed engineering staff across the Americas, India, and Europe.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and software architects in an agile, cross‑functional setting to design and implement new user experiences and features.
- Manage project delivery, define realistic timelines, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Improve and define engineering best practices for the product and potentially for the broader RealPage engineering organization.
- Assess technical feasibility, present implementation options, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Mentor engineering team members, conduct code, design, and architectural reviews, and support professional growth.
- Guide teams to build integrated customer experiences, share data, and improve interoperability with other RealPage products.

- Minimum 3 years of experience as a hands‑on technical leader of engineering teams.
- At least 2 years of people‑management experience, including hiring, mentoring, and supporting staff.
- 7 years of software development experience with complex web applications.
- Strong grasp of software design patterns, object‑oriented principles, and ability to communicate engineering concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- 5+ years of coding Node.js applications, familiar with modern frameworks and software architecture; includes code review and occasional coding.
- 5 years of unit test automation experience (e.g., RSpec, Jest) and ability to mentor others in testing best practices.
- Proficiency with industry best practices for software engineering.
- Experience with ReactJS front‑end frameworks.
- Experience with MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and ability to lead cloud‑based projects.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support career growth of software engineers.
- Experience with iOS/Android application development and delivery.
- Familiarity with OAuth/OpenID Connect.
- Experience re‑architecting or transitioning applications from on‑prem datacenters to public cloud.
