Accounts Officer

• Receipting of payments
• Entering invoices for payment and preparation of supplier payments
• Reconcile creditor and debtor accounts and resolve any discrepancies
• Liaising with vendors and customers
• Reviewing credit card transactions and posting accurately into the system
• Checking all supplier invoices have the correct approvals for payment
• Reviewing ageing reports and following up on any long outstanding items. Reporting results to senior management.
• Creating sales invoices, sending out to customers and following up for payment when necessary
• Daily and weekly bank statement reconciliations
• Ensuring that all invoices are paid within their payment terms

We’re seeking an Accounts Officer with a positive, can-do attitude to join our experienced finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this full-time role is ideal for someone who thrives in a supportive environment and enjoys variety in their day.

• Have strong attention to detail
• Have the ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Construction industry experience (highly regarded)
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Understand the basic principles of accounting
• Have excellent communication skills
• Have at least 2-4 years’ experience in an accounts payable, accounts receivable or accounts officer role.
