The Lead Cost Estimator will be required to develop detailed cost estimates for a variety of projects including highway, bridge, tunnel, airport, building construction, building renovation and other projects. Types of estimates will include preliminary conceptual estimates, estimates at various stages of design, change order estimates, claims estimates, and estimates to analyze "what if" scenarios. Estimator will also be required to review and comment on cost estimates developed by others, and write a variety of technical reports. Estimator will interface with construction schedulers to ensure that estimates and schedules are coordinated and integrated. Estimator will also be required to interface with project owners, designers, engineers, material and equipment suppliers, and construction contractors. Estimator will be required to participate in project meetings, negotiations, risk analysis studies, and value engineering studies.
