Duty Manager
Abm Industries
Provider of integrated facility, infrastructure, and mobility services to commercial, industrial, institutional clients.
Overnight manager leading airport janitorial team, ensuring staffing, safety, and client service.
Respond to call-offs and ensure adequate coverage to maintain uninterrupted service.
Ensure all team members adhere to safety, security, and quality standards set by ABM, the client, and regulatory authorities.
Direct oversight of Supervisors and Front-Line Janitorial Staff
Manage employee breaks and lunches in accordance with labor guidelines and operational flow.
Complete and submit daily shift reports detailing staffing, service delivery, and operational highlights.
Maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, client contacts, and facility stakeholders.
Adjust staffing levels based on client needs, special events, or operational fluctuations.
Provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action to team members as needed.
Support basic administrative tasks including payroll inputs, attendance tracking, and incident documentation.
Monitor and maintain staffing levels in partnership with the local Human Resources Department.
Lead by example, fostering a professional and respectful work environment.
Employee must comply with and enforce all guidelines and policies set forth in the ABM Employee Handbook. These policies include, but are not limited to, the Company’s Zero Tolerance Discrimination and Harassment Policy, Retaliation Policy, Ethics Policy, and Security Policy. Employee must also comply with regulatory agency requirements, including, but not limited to, the ADA, ACAA, DOT, TSA, FAA, and Federal, State, and Local authorities.
Collaborate with other Duty Managers and Supervisors to ensure consistent staffing and service continuity across shifts.
Review and finalize future schedules, including time-off requests and shift coverage.
Enforce and manage the No-Fault Attendance Policy.
Partner with the Safety & Quality Manager to uphold safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and regulatory compliance.
Maintain regular communication with client representatives to ensure alignment on service expectations and performance.

Ability to effectively communicate.
High school diploma or GED required.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Proficient in basic computer applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Employee must comply with the Company’s management grooming standards and must wear the SIDA badge/Airport ID at all times.
Strong listening skills to support team engagement and client satisfaction.
College degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Familiarity with scheduling platforms, timekeeping systems, and digital reporting tools preferred.
