You’re an experienced data engineering leader who combines technical depth with clear leadership and strategic thinking. You enjoy working at scale, navigating complexity, and enabling teams to do their best work.
At Landmark, data engineering is not a back-office function, it’s a core platform capability that underpins our products, insights, and decision-making across the Group. We’re looking for a hands-on Head of Data Engineering who enjoys designing modern data platforms, getting deep into architecture decisions, and leading by example.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to stay technically credible, shape strategy, and still be close to how things are built.
Most importantly, you’re someone who enjoys setting direction, raising standards, and inspiring teams.
- A strong track record of building enterprise-grade data integration and analytics platforms
- Proven experience leading high-performing Data Engineering and Data Architecture teams
- A strong operational mindset, with accountability for reliability, SLAs, and service quality
- Experience supporting ML workloads and diverse data types
- Knowledge of the Azure data ecosystem (e.g. Azure SQL, Data Lakes, ADF, Power BI)
- Expertise in ETL / ELT patterns, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
- Solid grounding in data modelling and scalable pipeline architecture
- Strong hands-on understanding of SQL and Python
- Experience designing and consuming APIs
- Strong awareness of, and appreciation for, open-source data technologies and ecosystems
Benefits
At Landmark, you'll find a friendly, dynamic, and supportive team that values bold ideas, big dreams, and active curiosity. We foster a culture of innovation, encouraging everyone to contribute to the development and direction of our products and services, while continuously seeking new and efficient ways to work.
