Minimum 15 years consulting experience in electrical building systems design
Registered Professional Engineer designation with a Canadian Professional Engineering Association required (APEGA or EGBC)
Experience in complex projects valued over $200M required, over $500M preferred
Effective and efficient problem solving and decision-making skills; thoughtful, proactive and creative
Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
Experience in projects delivered under collaborative contracts such as Progressive Design-Build, Construction Management, Integrated Project Delivery and Alliance required
Strong written and oral communication skills
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals; ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment
Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups
Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Willingness to travel
LEED certification and/or experience designing buildings with CaGBC’s Net-Zero Building Design/Performance Certifications considered advantageous
Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment
Bachelor of Science (Electrical Engineering), Bachelor of Engineering - Electrical or equivalent university degree required
