The Global Cloud Engineer is tasked with deploying new cloud solutions and supporting project delivery. This role involves expanding existing systems or implementing new cloud infrastructure, ensuring designs are scalable, secure, and high‑performance. The engineer collaborates with cross‑functional teams to align cloud solutions with organizational goals and deliver measurable value.
Key responsibilities include creating comprehensive reports, technical documentation, and user guides while training team members and stakeholders on established procedures. The engineer drives timely, high‑quality service delivery, manages and resolves incidents and service requests, and evaluates emerging technologies and architectures. They also lead feasibility assessments and proof‑of‑concept initiatives and act as a subject‑matter expert in cloud infrastructure.
The position works with Azure and AWS cloud platforms, leveraging Infrastructure as Code through Terraform and CI/CD pipelines powered by GitHub Actions. The engineer supports TechnipFMC’s cloud transformation initiatives, including strategic workload migration and optimization within cloud environments.
Ideal candidates possess strong knowledge of automation and serverless applications on Azure and AWS, and are proficient in web development with JavaScript and TypeScript. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cost‑optimization strategies, hybrid infrastructure, Kubernetes/EKS, and Terraform is required, as is hands‑on experience scripting with PowerShell and managing both cloud and on‑premises solutions.
Core skill sets include debugging and problem‑solving, Agile and DevOps methodologies, Bash/Shell/PowerShell scripting, infrastructure architecture, network services, incident management, firewall administration, monitoring, API frameworks, system configuration, and end‑to‑end testing.
