Associate Test Technician

Description

Element is seeking an Associate Test Technician to join its expanding operations team. The role involves performing routine and non‑routine testing assignments in one of Element’s laboratories under direct supervision, ensuring timely and accurate test results. Technicians must adhere to safety rules, the company code of conduct, and established policies and procedures.

• Prepare material specimens for testing.
• Perform tests according to customer specifications.
• Operate under supervision of senior test technician or department manager.
• Gather and record test data.
• Construct and maintain test fixtures and laboratory equipment.

Requirements

The position requires basic laboratory safety knowledge, a high school diploma or GED (college or vocational coursework welcomed), and 0‑2 years of testing‑related experience. Candidates should have computer skills, a basic understanding of testing concepts, and the ability to apply elementary algebra and geometry.

Physical demands include frequent standing for long periods, moderate lifting of up to 50 lb regularly and occasional lifting over 50 lb, with occasional lifts exceeding 50 lb. The role emphasizes a safe work environment and compliance with safety standards.
