Responsible for overall food presentation
Clean, wash, and sanitize equipment and work areas. Sweeping and mopping the floor.
Prepare fresh pastries & Bread for breakfast and Sandwich maker daily.
Prepare cookies and squares keeping adequate stock supplies for the lunchroom
Assisting in maintaining the cleanliness of dining room and overall kitchen
Prepare Jell-O and Puddings for dessert daily.
Responsible to cover all baked goods including breads
Consult with the Chef on daily baked goods requirements to ensure portions are adequate
Supervise night shift employees
Assist with the resupply of baking area on grocery delivery days
Prepare and bake all pies, squares, bread products and daily sweets from scratch or pre-mixed product and dating items, as per requirements
Ensure health and safety regulations and quality standards are maintained
Ensure production schedule is met, recorded and timely delivery of all baked products
Provide professional, courteous guest service always
Check and document the temperatures of freezers and coolers.
Create with the chef and follow menus to ensure proper rotation of baked goods and desserts
Maintain storage and bakery cleanliness
Clean and maintain the designated workstation
Cutting and wrapping pastry.
Assisting in unloading, loading and placing of groceries and supplies
Prepare fresh buns for supper daily.
Prepare three different desserts and 1 pie selection for dinner service. Have them plated and wrapped.
Prepare a variety of quality from scratch baked goods.
Supervise night shift ensuring all work is completed and up to company standards.

Prior supervisory experience
Ability to stand for a long period of time and lift up to 35 pounds
FoodSafe Level I is a minimum. SafeCheck advanced food safety certification or HACCP certification is an asset.
Minimum 3 years’ baking experience in a similar or hotel/institutional environment
Proven experience preparing baked goods for large number of guests
Successful candidates MUST obtain a mark of 80% or higher on the mandatory WHMIS test (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System).
