Participate in daily safety meetings, JSA’s and audits
Cuts materials to required dimensions
Carries tools and equipment to job site
May install packing’s, catalysts, and desiccants in vessels
Ensure compliance of all safety procedures and policies while promoting company’s safety culture
Maintain the work area in a neat and orderly condition and cooperates with other departments in housekeeping endeavors
Cleans up work area when job is completed and returns materials and equipment to appropriate location
Cooperate with superintendents, foreman, supervisors in the shop, and coworkers
Relay appropriate information to foreman
Constantly perform repeating motions that may include feet, leg, wrists, hands and/or fingers
Bolts or unbolts assemblies using hand tools, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and prying bars
Exercise discretion and independent judgement when handling day to day information
Attaches slings or cables to objects requiring lifting

Ability to work non-routine hours, when necessary
Ability to work under pressure to meet department targets and deadlines
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
Ability to work cooperatively across all levels delivering on commitments – results oriented
Measure, reads blueprints, must be able to use square, measuring tape, and ruler
At least 3 years’ experience as a helper
Ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work outdoors, exposed to heat and humidity, cold and rain, and around heavy traffic areas
Ability to operate job related tools
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in construction
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent time-management skills to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
Work that includes moving and/or lifting objects up to 50 pounds, carry at least 30 pounds and up to 150 pounds with help
Ability to pass an HMC written craft test
Ability and willingness to travel as required
High School Diploma or GED required
