Area Director, Pricing

Description

The role is responsible for developing and executing all price‑management strategic goals for the assigned Area, including core price and yield targets, in line with corporate guidance.

• Own the Area pricing plans, including core price and yield goals, and drive execution to exceed expectations.
• Develop Price Management as a strategic capability by focusing resources within the Area.
• Collaborate with the Area Sales Director, Public Sector Manager and Area Vice President on profitable revenue growth strategy.
• Work closely with the Corporate Price Management team to develop pricing strategies, implementation plans, and direct their execution.
• Counsel Area directors and managers on pricing program execution, ensuring alignment with departmental goals.
• Direct and coordinate implementation of emerging pricing tools.
• Mentor pricing analysts to ensure execution of key initiatives and develop next‑generation talent.
• Lead profitability improvement efforts such as customer profitability, route efficiency, and major contract reviews involving capital investment.
• Monitor market conditions, pricing trends and effectiveness of pricing actions to identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead pricing improvement efforts across all business facets, leveraging experience and relationships.
• Manage maintenance of all pricing tools and ensure adherence to pricing standards and approvals for new growth and retention pricing.
• Develop revenue budget, forecast financial and human‑resource needs, and validate pricing assumptions for revenue analysis and budgeting.
• Directly supervise two full‑time employees.

Requirements

The position supervises two full‑time employees and requires a bachelor’s degree in finance or business administration plus seven or more years of pricing or revenue‑management experience, with at least three years of people‑management experience. A master’s degree and ten or more years of experience are preferred.

Candidates must reside in the United States and possess strong leadership, communication and analytical skills, with a proven record of delivering quarterly core‑price results and driving price‑growth initiatives.

The work environment is primarily an office setting; occasional physical effort (handling objects under 30 lb) and rare exposure to occupational hazards such as cuts, burns or chemicals may occur.

Travel may require a REAL ID or TSA‑approved alternative for air travel or access to federal property.

Benefits

Base pay ranges from $137,200 to $208,955 nationally, and the total compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, a 401(k) match, stock purchase plan, paid vacation, holidays and personal days, subject to site variation.
