HVAC Project Sales Rep - Northern Colorado

Description

• Surveys and has a good understanding of commercial HVAC mechanical systems and provides customer with solutions; recognizes project opportunities
• Consistently generates sales revenue through a proven track record
• Interprets job conditions and can determine and recommend maintenance requirements
• Surveys commercial HVAC systems, problem solves and makes recommendations; learns and applies the company pricing policy
• Identifies customer needs and can effectively address customer concerns
• Works closely with the Operations Department and can communicate what the customer needs to both the customer and Operations with customers expectation on installation timelines
• Effectively conducts sales presentations to influence customers to buy and can identify opportunities within existing customer bases
• Manages quotes to close sales

Requirements

• Able to qualify prospects and/or opportunities within assigned accounts, make effective sales presentations, and answer questions to objections in a proficient, responsible, and timely manner
• Uses vertical market strategies and understands market forces to find opportunities within existing customer base
• Answers questions and objections in a proficient and responsible manner
• Handles objections effectively
• Presents effective product demonstration
• Able to uncover the full scope of the customers problems and deliver desired future outcomes
• Able to plan and effectively schedule customer appointments
• Mechanical aptitude
• 5-7 years of experience with commercial HVAC systems
• Ability to create an asset replacement schedule based on multiple factors including ASHRAE guidelines, service call patterns, local and national mandates, energy efficiency and condition of equipment
• Able to work well with project manager to assist in coordinating work with multiple subcontractors and equipment representatives
• Understands the prospect’s organization and decision-making process and can commit the prospect to a decision-making timetable
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• Can verbalize a conceptual sale and return on investment to customer
• Utilizes Account Management skills to support and provide solutions for their assigned accounts
• 5-7 years of Sales experience
• Use of various sales training strategies to effectively uncover problems and deliver attractive solutions to gain customer interest
• Knowledge of building codes and standards
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Able to work with suppliers to identify lead times and equipment costs
