Interns will assume real responsibilities within Preconstruction, Project Management, or Field Supervision teams, receiving training, support, and mentoring to foster development. They will interact with subcontractors, vendors, and owners; participate in cost planning, scheduling, materials procurement, cost control, and quality management; and follow safety and security procedures. Near the end of the program, the intern will prepare a presentation summarizing their experience at Branch.

We seek rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors pursuing degrees in Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields. The program provides a structured, supportive learning environment where interns develop impactful skills and attributes for a successful construction career. Candidates must be currently enrolled college students in Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related degrees. They should display a courteous, professional attitude, excellent written and verbal communication, strong analytical and computer skills with Microsoft Office, and a valid driver’s license with a good record. Travel is required, and the ideal intern is passionate and determined to make a difference.
Key competencies include dependability, interpersonal skills, initiative, computer proficiency, and the ability to prioritize and organize work, with periodic visits to job sites and offices. The role requires frequent standing, walking, manual handling, and lifting up to 10 lb (occasionally 25 lb), as well as clear vision and hearing.
