Lead and manage a team of outsourced security officers to achieve the mission set out under the Infrastructure Protection Act (IPA) 2017, Protected Areas and Protected Places (PAPP) Act, to ensure Jurong Island Checkpoint and Jurong Island remains safe and secured.
Conduct preliminary investigations into feedback and complaints received at JIOC from members of public or tenant companies, relating to checkpoint operations and report to management the findings and recommended improvement to the work processes and procedures where necessary, to enhance a positive experience at the checkpoint.
Ensure prompt reporting of system faults and where necessary, make alternative arrangements to ensure continuity of checkpoint operations.
The job requires the holder to perform shift duties to oversee and manage daily security operations at Jurong Island Checkpoint and within Jurong Island.
Facilitate and monitor construction, installation and maintenance works within JIOC and checkpoint to ensure checkpoint operations continue undisrupted.
Maintain effective Command, Control and Communications (C3) at the JIOC where, as the Duty Commander, he/she is in-charge of daily operations to ensure continuity of checkpoint operations, incident management and incident reporting to management.
Provide timely end of shift report to management.
Be au fait with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Directives, to ensure outsourced security officers perform their duties in compliance and maintain high levels of discipline and professional conduct, for e.g. to conduct Red Teaming exercises for validation.
Take charge and coordinate incident responses by outsourced security officers, Singapore Police Force, Singapore Civil Defence Force, Singapore Armed Forces, Singapore Customs, other government agencies and Jurong Island tenant companies.

Sense-make using the systems and sensors in JIOC to aid his/her decision-making in managing daily operations and incident management where the decisions taken are time critical.
Able to operate the systems and sensors available at JIOC to guide and ensure the outsourced security officers are capable to perform their duties at JIOC using the same systems and sensors.
At least 3 to 4 years of experience in security operations preferred
Able to do shift work, including on weekends and public holidays
Good communication and report writing skills
Possesses good man-management skills to lead a team of outsourced security officers who are performing shift duties
Able to take on additional responsibilities and tasking as directed by management.
Possesses good analytical skills and be able to remain calm and composed during incident management
