- The Floating Teacher Assistant will be available to assist in all centers with assisting the teacher in planning and implementing educational activities in the classroom and interact with children in a developmentally appropriate manner. Assist the Teacher in the development and implementation of individualized plans for children.
- Encourage and coordinate parent and volunteer involvement. Accompany Teacher in making educational Home Visits and Parent/Teacher conferences as requested by Teacher. Coordinate classroom volunteer program.
- Assist the Teacher in observing, screening, assessing, and documenting children's growth and development. Document observations and individual activities in blue books.
- Assume Teacher responsibilities in the absence of the Teacher.
- Participate in weekly Center staff meetings and all other meetings as requested. Attend training and workshops.
- Prepare and maintain appropriate records or reports. This may include maintaining daily attendance record of children and managing records of classroom in-kind. Submit accurate records of in-kind on a monthly basis.
- Assist in carrying out administrative duties as delegated by the teacher.

- Must have a Child Development Associate (CDA) or enroll immediately in CDA program or immediately enroll in early childhood coursework leading to an associate or bachelor degree.
