Description

• Perform on‑site assessments of underground and aerial cable damages.
• Interview contractors, technicians, witnesses, police, and homeowners at damage sites.
• Photograph and document damage scenes to support liability determination.
• Collaborate with locate companies and exchange relevant damage information.
• Analyze evidence to identify liable parties and apply State Dig Laws, excavator requirements, and NESC standards.
• Build professional relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Obtain and write up repair cost estimates for damage cases.
• Compile case materials and forward them to the local handling office.
• Assist Claims Recovery team with follow‑up actions after site reviews.
• Develop monthly market reports and lead client meetings on updates.
• Maintain knowledge of the PRG claims process.
• Drive personal vehicle to sites day or night, navigate uneven terrain and varying weather.

Requirements

The position requires frequent travel to damage sites using a personal vehicle, with the ability to work on uneven terrain, in varying weather, and during both day and night hours. Physical duties include extended periods of standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 25 lb, as well as bending, stooping, and reaching as needed.

• Hold a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance with minimum 100/300/100 liability coverage.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and comfortable using shared computer systems.
• Possess strong analytical and logical reasoning abilities.
• Familiarity with the cable or utility locating industry; telephone industry experience preferred.
• Background in business operations with attention to detail; claims experience a plus.
• Ability to multitask and manage time in a dynamic environment.
• Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods; lift up to 25 lb occasionally.
