Arrange and carry out supply chain office audits of gas safety processes and procedures.
Liaise closely with the Gas Safety manager, operations, and project managers for continued compliance throughout the MOD estate, seeking guidance as necessary.
Write and maintain Gas Safety Management Plans for each area of responsibility and familiarisation and knowledge across all sites within the Service Delivery Area.
Review risk assessments, method statements and where necessary safety programs and Gas Permits to Work.
Implementation and operation of gas safety in area of responsibility.
Maintain a positive environment in which Skilled Persons and other team members engage and follow in the requirements of the Gas Safety Case, with a self-motivated attitude to gas safety.
Provide professional and technical support, and advice, where required to maintenance and project teams, DIO, and end users.
Investigate all reported gas incidents in full, completing detailed reports and putting in place corrective actions when required to mitigate future incidents.
Assess the competence of Gas Skilled Persons for appointment and review experience and performance. Ensure Skilled Persons are aware of any restrictions related to their work. Where necessary, suspend the appointment of Skilled Persons.
Maintain the register of Skilled Persons for continual monitoring of competence and training.
Keeping up to date with gas industry changes, current regulations, and legislation.

IGEM EngTech level membership (desirable, although gaining EngTech membership is required as part of the role)
Non-domestic gas qualifications would be desirable.
Management level qualification in H&S and Environment (e.g., SMSTS)
Essential ACS qualifications – CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, and CPA1 with significant experience within the gas industry.
LPG qualifications would be desirable.
