The position directly influences project success and builds lasting client trust by protecting communities and ecosystems.
In this role you will lead high‑profile projects under CERCLA, RCRA, and state programs, deliver technical excellence, and provide strategic solutions. You will also mentor junior staff, strengthen client relationships, drive business development, and champion safety and sustainability standards on every project.
Key responsibilities involve managing and executing complex site investigations, risk assessments, and remediation projects for clients in manufacturing, power, chemical, oil & gas, and technology sectors. You will plan and oversee field activities, analyze environmental data, develop conceptual site models, design remediation strategies using both traditional and emerging technologies, mentor junior staff, prepare proposals, and cultivate strong relationships with clients, regulators, and subcontractors.
The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline (master’s preferred) and have 4–12 years of progressive experience in site investigation and remediation. A Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license in New Jersey (or ability to obtain one), OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification, and a valid driver’s license are required, along with strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Preferred qualifications include experience with environmental data management systems such as EQuIS, advanced technical writing and proposal development abilities, and familiarity with innovative remediation technologies and high‑resolution site characterization.
