Production Machine Operator

Description

• Operate production equipment to meet output targets while ensuring product quality.
• Follow verbal and written instructions to produce assigned products.
• Perform equipment set‑up and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Use tools and measuring devices to adjust, maintain, and repair machinery.
• Prepare daily production and maintenance reports accurately.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy plant components using hoists and hand tools.
• Keep the work area clean and adhere to safety standards, wearing required PPE.
• Conduct minor equipment repairs and report issues to maintenance to prevent delays.
• Communicate product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions during shift handovers.
• Assist the Chief in daily operations and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Candidates should have 3‑4+ years of experience in automated production or line leadership, strong data‑driven performance skills, and basic mechanical or electrical knowledge. A high school diploma or GED is required, and experience with concrete manufacturing equipment is a plus. Excellent communication, self‑motivation, flexibility for overtime, and basic computer proficiency are essential.

The position demands physical stamina, including frequent lifting or moving of up to 50 lb (occasionally up to 80 lb), frequent movement throughout the facility, and the ability to inspect and monitor machines continuously while adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements.

• Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 lb frequently (up to 80 lb occasionally) and navigate the facility.

Benefits

The Production Machine Operator role offers $24/hr plus a $6/hr shift differential, working Saturdays to Mondays from 5:30 am to 5:30 pm at our Pen Argyl, PA facility. The operator is responsible for safe and efficient production of paver and block equipment, requiring mechanical aptitude to adjust, troubleshoot, repair, and run machinery.
