Each day you will be assigned to a production line. On a solo line you will manage filling and case‑packing, while on a dual‑operator line you will share those tasks with a partner. You are expected to pull any items that appear off‑spec, such as mislabeled cans, improperly sealed lids, or loose case flaps, and periodically weigh cans to confirm the filling equipment meets weight parameters. You will also handle paint changeovers, keep the cardboard case machine stocked, and help teammates as required.
To thrive as a Machine/Filling Operator with Behr, you must be eager to learn. No prior paint or manufacturing experience is required, and the company will provide all necessary training, making this an ideal entry‑level opportunity. You will cross‑train on multiple lines so you can assist wherever help is needed.
Behr values excellent attendance, a strong commitment to safety, and a desire to grow within the company. Safety gear, including steel‑toed shoes, must be worn at all times, and the role requires standing for the entire shift and lifting cases up to 50 pounds several times a day. A high school diploma or GED is required.
Filling Operators start at $19.50 per hour, with a $0.50 raise after six months and another $0.50 raise after one year. Quarterly and holiday bonuses are offered, and a full list of benefits and perks is available at behr.com/careers. The position is full‑time, shift 2, with a hiring range of $19.50, subject to variation based on experience, education, location, or skills.
