The position offers shifts from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with a pay rate of $20.60 per hour plus a $2.50 shift premium. The Material Handler I will be responsible for all material handling needs, primarily picking warehouse parts and delivering them to assembly areas to ensure efficient production. The role works closely with production lines to ensure full utilization of people, materials, and equipment to meet customer demand. The Material Handler must achieve company standards for safety, quality, continuous improvement (CI), and productivity.
The entry‑level Material Handler I position requires 0–2 years of experience, adherence to company policies, high attention to detail, teamwork, effective communication, basic PC skills, ability to identify and resolve basic problems, basic reading, writing, and math abilities, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates must be capable of performing basic literacy and numeracy functions required for the role.
Material Handler II candidates need 1–3 years of experience, high attention to detail, strong communication skills, intermediate PC knowledge, ability to resolve intermediate problems, operation of a forklift or other material‑transport equipment, and competence in entering and maintaining material data in the company ERP system.
Material Handler III candidates should have 2–5 years of experience, strong written and verbal communication, forklift operation skill, proficiency with problem‑solving tools, prior experience coaching and training other employees, and experience leading and forming teams.
Preferred qualifications include prior forklift operation experience and proficiency with the company ERP program. Essential duties involve working under general supervision on well‑defined tasks, participating in metric boards measuring safety, quality, CI, and productivity, completing required training, resolving problems with guidance, following defined procedures, engaging in 5S visual‑control programs, performing daily forklift checks, and maintaining good attendance.
The Material Handler reports to the Materials Supervisor and follows direction from Materials Leads. Physical demands include regular standing, walking, talking, hearing, and hand use, occasional lifting of 25–50 lb, occasional stooping, bending, or reaching above the shoulders, and frequent computer work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and focus adjustment.
