Work in 2D environment while preparing drawings (e.g. Microstation)
Coordinates the development of and reviews for the accuracy of bulk material quantity take-offs and material requisitions for materials applicable to the structural discipline
Ensures compliance with approved civil/structural design standards in own work and by those assigned, to provide quality design
Ensures civil/structural systems designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards
Assists in the development of design models and drawings for concrete and structural steel structures and steel detailing with minimum supervision.
Design of a wide range of industrial structures including buildings (covered, opened), material handling structures, equipment supporting structures, building and equipment foundations, retaining walls, etc.
Assisting in preparation of discipline material take-offs
Assists in the development of work plans, budgets, and schedules for basic civil/structural designer tasks based on input and direction from supervisor in designated discipline
Generates 2D drawings or 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) design models with minimal guidance from others
Provides on-the-job training for personnel within civil/structural design
Design and modelling of concrete and structural steel in 3D environment (e.g. Tekla, Smart3D)
