The Electrical Engineer position is a consulting‑engineering role focused on designing electrical systems, power distribution, lighting and controls, emergency power, UPS, renewable energy, fire alarm, and low‑voltage systems for bidding and construction. The engineer will work on energy‑efficient building projects alongside a multidisciplinary team in the Lexington office, interacting with owners, architects, and contractors, and applying strong technical expertise throughout all project phases.
- Prepare, read, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to assigned tasks.
- Collaborate with other engineers and personnel to meet project deadlines.
- Apply engineering principles to research, design, and evaluate products, equipment, systems, and processes.
- Design and specify system components to ensure conformance with project goals.
- Research and analyze client requirements, manuals, and data to assess feasibility, cost, and maintenance.
- Review contractor submittals for compliance with contract documents.

- Interact with owners, clients, architects, and contractors through verbal and written communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
- At least one year of MEP design experience.
- FE registration preferred, with potential to obtain PE licensure.
- Experience using Revit and AutoCAD.
