Reviewing and approving adjusting entries to correct bank variances
Preparing and reviewing annual GAAP reports
Determines priorities and plans unit work;
Uses statistical data in evaluating cost benefit relationships;
Leading centralized cashiering operations to ensure accuracy and compliance
Monitoring accounts receivable activity and customer billings
Directs review and verification of posting to appropriate ledgers and subsidiary accounts and reconciliation of accounts and records;
Overseeing the processing of refunds
Acts as liaison with other operating units, agencies and outside officials regarding unit policies and procedures;
Supervising the receipt and recording of agency revenue
Identifying opportunities to streamline procedures and improve operational workflows
Conducts performance evaluations;
evaluate and analyze accounting forms, methods and procedures and cost data;
Establishes and maintains unit accounting procedures including electronic data processing (EDP) procedures;
