The Shift Engineer position in Pune is part of the Property and Asset Management business. You will ensure that all technical services remain operational during your shift, taking charge of the building’s technical assets, managing the engineering team and supporting the Property Manager or Assistant Property Manager.
Key responsibilities include managing electromechanical and utility services with the technician team, preparing and implementing planned preventive maintenance, and conducting regular site inspections to detect risks or defects. You will also review the work of subordinate staff and provide guidance as needed.
You must maintain accurate documentation, track assets under defect‑liability periods and AMC/CAMC contracts, and handle hiring, training and development of shift engineers and maintenance staff.
Budgetary control and performance monitoring are essential; you will formulate suitable budgeting controls, monitor SLA and KPI metrics for JLL and outsourced agencies, and keep service level agreements and performance scores above excellence.
Vendor management involves overseeing quotations and invoices, ensuring proper sign‑offs for attendance and cost‑sheet submission, and scheduling monthly vendor meetings to address corrective actions.
You will plan and implement energy‑conservation measures, prepare monthly reading sheets, maintain equipment history cards and logbooks, and attend major complaints while ensuring work permits and safe‑working procedures are in place.
Assist the Property Manager and Technical Manager with risk assessments, mitigation strategies, root‑cause analysis, and the creation of corrective, preventive and emergency response plans. Participate in evacuation drills as part of the ERT/QRT team and maintain engineering reports such as DMR and MMR.
We are looking for analytical and meticulous professionals who can coordinate with various teams, pay close attention to detail, and apply strong problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot and monitor maintenance projects.
Qualifications include a degree or diploma in Electrical or Mechanical engineering (or equivalent) with a minimum of five to seven years’ experience in real‑estate, hotel or construction environments; residential site experience is preferred.
At JLL we give you the tools, knowledge and opportunity to own your success, value what makes each of us unique, and work together to shape a better world. With a presence in over 80 countries and a Fortune 500 status, we combine global scale with local expertise.
