The role’s essential functions include laying out, assembling, and installing piping systems according to blueprints, specifications, and building codes. The candidate will cut, thread, fit, and braze pipe joints with high precision, ensuring leak‑free and structurally sound installations while maintaining cleanliness throughout the fabrication and installation processes.
Documentation and planning responsibilities require reading and interpreting mechanical and general arrangement drawings, schematics, and specifications to determine the sequence of pipe installations. The employee will also support other plant areas as needed, keep the workspace clean and orderly, and uphold ISO‑9001 standards.
Qualifications include a high school diploma (vocational or technical training preferred), brazing certification, and EPA‑608 Universal Certification. Candidates should have 1‑2 years of industrial pipefitting experience with various materials (steel, copper, PVC), strong problem‑solving skills, proficiency with hand and power tools, and familiarity with ERP systems and NEC code requirements.
