Safely operate ride-on and/or handheld motorized equipment including but not limited to lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, pressure washers, and drills.
Report any hazards or injuries and take immediate corrective action.
Perform additional construction and maintenance support duties as required.
Perform maintenance operations including but not limited to landscaping, brush cutting, painting, pressure washing, window washing, fence repairs, and regular track maintenance.
Collaborate with other maintenance technicians to perform quality work in an efficient manner.
Respond as required to third party incidents and severe weather events and lead infrastructure cleanup activities.
Complete minor construction projects including stations and facility repairs, corridor civil improvements, and railroad grade crossing repairs.
Follow instructions from managers and execute planned work.

General knowledge of construction and maintenance fields, including landscaping, facility operations and maintenance, civil repairs, painting, basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical.
Experience operating light-duty construction equipment.
Able to work outside in varying weather conditions.
Ability to work days, nights, weekends and/or holidays (based on business demands) and/or an On-Call schedule.
Self-directed and accountable, able to complete assignments with limited oversight.
Familiarity with Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) safety rules and regulations.
Work safely and comply with any applicable railroad rules and regulations.
Able to speak, read, and write English at a High School level.
Safety-focused and attention to detail to continuously perform high-quality work.
Experience working around railroads or railroad operations and an understanding of rail engineering.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the maintenance, construction, or railroad industries.
Some college or vocational training preferred.
High School Diploma or GED.
Able to lift, climb, push and/or bend for extended periods of time and the ability to lift objects with weights in excess of 50 pounds in a safe manner.
