MEP Plumbing/Firefighting

Description

The role provides technical guidance and advice on MEP services, ensuring projects meet time, budget, safety and quality requirements while supporting high‑quality, profitable delivery and compliance with governance and assurance frameworks. It also involves building effective relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.

• Provide robust technical support for MEP services throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Advise on programme management, health, safety, wellbeing, quality and commissioning of MEP services.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, trade contractors and team leaders to build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Review contracts and scopes, assist in budgeting, value engineering, scheduling and trade contract preparation, supporting commercial teams.
• Contribute to strategic project planning, including prefabrication, commissioning and safety, aligned with Mace operating framework.
• Conduct design reviews for compliance, coordination, embodied carbon and operational energy per RIBA and BSRIA frameworks.
• Evaluate delivery strategies and programmes, ensuring milestones, interfaces, logistics and sequencing are considered.
• Review commissioning strategies in line with Mace standards, including IST approach, ATPs and soft landings.
• Identify risks proactively and develop mitigation plans.
• Support continuous improvement by reviewing issues and sharing lessons learned.
• Promote net‑zero carbon transition by managing carbon emissions and reductions during delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Relevant field experience.
