Prepare comprehensive cost breakdowns, pricing narratives, and supporting documentation for government and prime contractor proposals.
Participate in proposal reviews and pricing audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
Identify cost drivers, project risks, and opportunities for value engineering.
Deconstruct complex assemblies into detailed cost components including materials, labor, machine time, subcontracting, and overhead.
Provide strategic insights into pricing competitiveness based on market trends and historical benchmarks.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Program Management to validate assumptions and refine manufacturing strategies.
Leverage estimating and ERP systems such as Paperless Parts and Infor Syteline to create, manage, and track estimate data.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation to develop accurate cost estimates for fabrication, machining, and assembly processes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in estimating processes and data management practices.

Familiarity with ASTM standards and practices.
Experience in estimation, bidding, blueprint reading, and using estimating software.
Minimum of 5+ years of estimating experience in precision metal fabrication, machining, or welded assemblies.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience producing TINA-compliant cost data and supporting certified cost or pricing data submissions.
Ability to maintain audit-ready documentation.
