Commercial Manager

Description

• Work on a high‑value, flagship infrastructure project — your expertise will directly influence success, quality, client satisfaction and project legacy.
• Ensure compliance with relevant construction law, financial and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with project leadership and teams to ensure commercial strategy supports delivery goals.
• Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes and systems.
• Manage all commercial functions: contract administration, procurement, cost reporting, forecasting, cash-flow and cost‑control.
• Oversee subcontractor agreements and variations to protect project margins and mitigate risk.

Requirements

• Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong safety culture and commitment to sustainability.
• Strong understanding of Australian construction and contract law, with proven track record managing budgets and commercial risk on major projects.
• Ability to perform under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high standard of detail and compliance.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, stakeholder‑management and analytical skills.
• Minimum 5 years' commercial management experience within civil or marine/heavy‑duty construction.
