Principal Engineer - Quality (Mechanical/Piping/HVAC)
Petrofac
Provides engineering, procurement, and construction services to the energy industry.
Manage quality compliance for procurement, supplier inspections, and docs in mechanical/piping/HVAC.
Verify compilation, by Coordinator, of Supplier Inspection Assignments Packages.
Provide key technical assistance on quality scope to supplier on writing and executing test approvals and final reports.
Management of open points, quality documentation for easy retrieval & traceability & maintain proactive approach in the interest of project.
Review of suppler ITPs, Quality Procedures etc against requirements.
Develop project specific QCP/ITP/ITRs for both supplier and site QMS.
Review procurement documents to ensure that quality requirements have been correctly translated into material requisitions and design documents.
Coordinate with discipline engineers and other stake holders on establishing project specific quality criteria.
Review & approve supplier inspection procedures and personnel qualifications.
Complete and submit Supplier Capability Assessment reports in 10 working days for approval.
Moderate/review supplier post order evaluation report/matrix.
Issue of non-conformity reports, monitor & follow up for close out.
Take part in shop inspections and surveillances, when required.
Assure resolution of all quality procurement issues raised during inspection/test. Where applicable, Provide recommendations for possible solutions.
Review of Material requisitions to ensure that the applicable quality requirements are correctly captured
Provide technical inputs for Supplier queries on quality.,
Coordinate with expediting, delivery/project & engineering on all procurement quality issues.
Verify product for its compliance with approved documents and ITP.
Coordinate with respective stake holders for the resolution of technical discrepancies.
Conduct Supplier Capability Assessment as assigned.
Coordinate with management for quality improvements, based on role assigned.
Chair & Perform pre-inspection meetings.
Produce necessary inspection report (if inspected self) and release notes after satisfactory completion of inspections and compliance verification.
Review & approve supplier material certificates.
Coordinate with Completion team to set up Co-Console (when required)
List procurement inspection criticality rating for various items and capture the same in Supplier quality requirements.
Ensure the verification of documentation/test reports and certificates during Procurement/Manufacturing phase
Coordination of Supplier pre-order Quality approvals, when required.
Coordinate with concerned parties, review and ensure timely delivery of MRBs based on approved MRB index.
