The Business Manager – F&I is a commercial, revenue-generating role within the Finance & Insurance department, responsible for maximizing penetration of finance, insurance (F&I) and value-added products (VAPs) across assigned retail showrooms. The role entails direct engagement with customers, sales teams, and F&I partners to structure compliant, competitive, and profitable deals that support the organization’s financial objectives. This position holds full accountability for deal structuring, partner engagement, documentation integrity, and income realization — ensuring every F&I opportunity is fully capitalized.
As the front-line owner of F&I income streams, the Business Manager drives showroom profitability, enhances product attachment ratios, and sustains long-term revenue performance across the retail network. This role is considered a core pillar in driving the financial success of the F&I function.
- Promote and upsell finance, insurance, and value-added products (VAPs) to all walk-in and digital customers across assigned showrooms, maximizing profitability per unit.
- Evaluate customer needs, eligibility, and affordability to structure competitive and compliant F&I packages that enhance conversion and value.
- Apply approved F&I offers in line with Central Bank regulations, company policies, and partner-specific guidelines, as communicated by leadership.
- Manage the complete deal lifecycle — from lead handover to final invoice — including finance application, documentation accuracy, and mortgage uploads.
- Engage proactively with assigned bank and insurance partners to ensure timely file submission, follow-ups, and case approvals.
- Deliver showroom-level F&I income targets (monthly and annual), ensuring income per unit (IPU), penetration ratios, and conversion KPIs are met or exceeded.
- Track and report performance metrics including finance penetration, VAP attachment, approval ratios, and deal turnaround times to the line manager and relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with Showroom Managers and Sales Executives to drive unit sales and ensure F&I product integration across every transaction, including timely follow-ups and pitch support.
- Participate actively in closing retail sales by advising customers on financing options and overcoming affordability objections, contributing directly to unit target achievement.
- Conduct daily huddles with Sales Managers and Executives to review showroom pipeline, F&I status, and identify immediate actions to improve performance.
- Train and mentor Sales Executives on product knowledge, objection handling, and value-based selling techniques to increase F&I product attachment.
- Identify underperforming products or execution gaps and propose tactical solutions to enhance showroom-level F&I performance.
- Leverage ongoing market intelligence to stay ahead on bank programs, insurance offerings, customer preferences, and competitor trends.
- Liaise with the F&I Specialist to ensure backend readiness, including second-set documentation, deal tracker accuracy, and seamless file flow from front-end to disbursement.
