Instrumentation and Monitoring Technician

Description

• Supporting proposal development, cost estimates, and technical reports for nationwide I&M projects
• Operating power tools and equipment during installations (some lifting/climbing required)
• Processing and analyzing field data to assess structural and geotechnical performance
• Installing and maintaining geotechnical and structural instrumentation in the field
• Producing high-quality reports and communicating results with clients
• Collaborating with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors
• Assembling and programming dataloggers and sensor systems
• Conducting site inspections and supervising drilling and soil sampling

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
• Background in instrumentation installation and monitoring
• Field construction experience
• EIT Certification
• Willingness to travel up to 50% (domestic) annually
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and currently reside in California
• Experience with GIS and CAD software
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong teamwork, organizational, and communication skills
• Academic or hands-on experience with geotechnical, structural, mechanical engineering, or sensor technologies
