Assistant Environmental Specialist responsible for reviewing environmental resources for energy projects, environmental permitting tasks, and providing field support for studies and inspections.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge and use of GPS tools.
Must be detail oriented and have strong communication skills.
Introduction to ecological field data collection, wetland delineations, basic regulatory agency applications, gains knowledge of regulatory requirements, and other duties as required; receives technical training for career enhancement.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are a must.
Continues to show progress in acquiring basic skills; follows procedures; learns record keeping protocols general topographic and arial photograph reading experience, learns technical literature basics, available for frequent travel and field work.
2 to 3 Years of Experience
Technical knowledge of natural resources and field assessment methods.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and permit applications.
Travel within Wisconsin is a requirement and extended field assignments are possible. Position will be based in a remote home office with field work mostly located in the Central and Southern, WI area.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Possesses basic oral and written communication skills. Identifies and acknowledges principles of teamwork and leadership.
Knowledge and experience with erosion and sedimentation control monitoring and construction inspections on linear projects is preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences or similar field of study
Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime.
