  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to implement robust, repeatable production processes.
  • Define and support validation protocols for cooling system performance, environmental durability, and reliability testing.
  • Drive DFM/DFA activities for heat exchangers, fans, pumps, tubing, and structural housings.
  • Evaluate product cost, performance, and manufacturability trade-offs.
  • Interpret test data and drive corrective actions to meet design goals.
  • Perform and review thermal and structural simulations (e.g., CFD, FEA) to validate design assumptions.
  • Guide engineering teams on materials, structural integrity, fluid dynamics, and thermal performance optimization.
  • Support tooling design, assembly processes, and test procedures tailored to cooling product production.
  • Ensure compliance with thermal performance, pressure rating, durability, and environmental requirements.
  • Lead the mechanical design of thermal/cooling products throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Report on design maturity, risks, and resolution plans to senior leadership.
  • Oversee 3D modeling, tolerance stack-ups, and detailed engineering documentation.
  • Lead a cross-functional team of mechanical engineers, designers, and technicians.
  • Coordinate schedules, priorities, and deliverables to align with production and program milestones.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes: brazing, welding, CNC machining, injection molding, and assembly operations.
  • Experience with mechanical CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, FloTHERM, or similar).
  • Experience with ERP/PLM systems, BOM management, and product lifecycle workflows.
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ASME standards, and product compliance testing.
  • Deep understanding of cooling systems including heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
  • Background in HVAC, electronics cooling, automotive thermal systems, or industrial heat exchangers.
  • 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a lead or manufacturing-focused role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
