The Maintenance Technician – Material Handling Equipment role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance on material handling equipment within an automated warehouse. The technician troubleshoots electrical and mechanical issues, maintains conveyor systems, and supports continuous operations through flexible scheduling and thorough documentation.
Candidates must hold a high‑school diploma or equivalent, have at least one year of PC competency (Word, Excel, Outlook), and possess a basic understanding of electrical and mechanical principles. The position requires the ability to lift up to 49 lb, bend, kneel, and work 12‑hour shifts, often in noisy, temperature‑varying conditions.
Preferred applicants include those with an associate degree or higher in a mechanical or electrical field, relevant certifications, and two or more years of experience with automated conveyor systems, predictive maintenance, and material‑handling equipment. Familiarity with CMMS, PLCs, AutoStore ASRS, and lean maintenance practices is also valued.
