Key tasks involve reading and interpreting plans, diagrams, and specifications, collaborating with the sales team on proposals, and programming autonomous fire‑protection systems. The candidate will understand fiber‑optic networks, supervise electricians, complete verification reports, conduct acceptance testing, and produce as‑built drawings. Ongoing product knowledge, effective communication of project status to leadership, and fostering long‑term relationships with contractors, clients, consultants, and subcontractors are essential.
Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and at least ten years of experience in the fire‑protection industry. A college diploma in fire protection, electrical/electronic engineering, or equivalent experience is required, along with strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with electronic test equipment. Certification from the Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) or equivalent, and the ability to convey technical solutions clearly, are also necessary. The role demands autonomy and the capability to coordinate on‑site crews.
