What you would be doing

- Conduct Mission Assurance and Quality Assurance activities throughout the business acquisition and programme execution phases.
- Assist in cascading MA/QA requirements to suppliers.
- Generate and deliver MA/QA reports as necessary, escalating significant issues or risks.
- Engage with customers, suppliers, and third parties on Mission and Quality Assurance aspects.
- Collaborate with project teams and Supply Chain staff to ensure Supplier Quality and manage supplier performance effectively.
- Ensure customer deliverables meet quality standards and contractual requirements.
- Participate in bid and programme Gate Reviews to support mission success.
- Support risk and opportunity management activities on bids, projects, and Programmes.
- Fostering an inclusive work environment where every voice matters.
- Develop and document programme-specific processes.
- Contributing to building a more secure and connected world across various domains.
- Conduct follow-up audits to verify resolution of non-conformities.
- Collect, interpret, and present MA/QA metrics to the Programme Manager and Quality leadership.
- Provide independent oversight to ensure compliance with external standards, internal requirements, and contractual obligations.

- IPC 610/620 Certification for electrical inspection.
- Quality Assurance background, with experience in a systems engineering environment.
- Familiarity with UK MOD assurance requirements and practices.
- Ability to travel within the UK, requiring a valid UK driving license.
- Proficient in IT tools such as MS Office, JIRA, Atlassian Tools, and ERP systems like SAP.
- Knowledge of creating and interpreting Quality Management Plans from AQAP Standards.
- Understanding of Defence engineering standards and practices such as Def Stan 05-57, IEC 61508.
- Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously and collaboratively.
- Proven track record of meeting Quality Assurance requirements.
- Proficiency in APQP/PPAP Methodology, preferably AS9145.
- Experience in quality improvement, including lessons learned and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with ISO standards including ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 27001.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders and customers effectively.
- Flexible, dynamic, and responsive approach to work, adept at multitasking and meeting deadlines.
